Square Tube VS Cantilever ESD Workbenches 💥
Square Tube ESD Workbenches are designed with rigid square-legged uprights to provide a stable foundation. Supportive channels on the workbench prevents ‘parallelograming’, which is when the workbench legs give out sideways due to extensive use.
We offer three versions of the Square Tube Workbenches. This ESD Workbench Kit 2 comes in three different widths and the option of either one of 3 drawer units. This allows for full customisation to suit your workplaces unique needs. In addition, we offer Square Tube Workbench Extensions, providing additional room when working on an extensive project.
Alternatively, the Cantilever ESD Workbench is the perfect workbench for individuals wishing to easily move between workbenches to access multiple projects. Designed so that all four square-tube uprights are at the back of the workbench, with two longer feet to support the bench underneath. This frees up a lot of space underneath the bench, allowing for individuals to sit at their workbench without table legs getting in the way.
Similarly to the Square-Tube Workbench, our Cantilever Workbenches come in three different kit options. Pictured is our Cantilever ESD Workbench Kit 3, which comes with a choice of one or three drawer units, as well as three different widths.
Worktop Surfaces: which one is right for you? 🤔
Both the Square Tube Workbenches and Cantilever Workbenches come with the option of Lamstat or Neostat worktops. This is a critical decision to make based on the amount of ohms your workbench will need to withstand. Both worktops are dissipative, meaning built up electrical energy can be gradually dispersed safely.
Lamstat is made from plastic laminate and can withstand 106-108 ohms due to its static dissipative surface. It is the perfect surface for workbenches where jobs will focus on using heat, including soldiering and chemical work.
On the other hand, Neostat worktops use a rubber dual-layer, with a resistance of 105-107 ohms. Ideal for enhance electrical work, due to the top layer of the surface being dissipative, whilst the bottom layer is conductive.
