It is time for us to explore our Direct2U 2025 Overview! This year has truly been one-of-a-kind for everyone involved in the development of Direct2U. For this reason, we have decided to recap our monthly highlights as we prepare for the new year!
JANUARY π
To begin the year off, we released our brand new catalogue! Our marketing team was hard at work compiling all of our best-selling products in one bumper book of goodies! From bespoke TUFF lockers to organisational workbenches, our catalogue featured the ideal products to enhance your workplace throughout 2025.
FEBRUARY β€οΈ
The launch of our All-Black TUFF Lockers became available on the web in February. Our team were super excited to announce this launch, because of the wide range of features this locker possesses! Ventilation was incorporated to each compartment door, making them the ideal addition to any gym changing room! Additionally, the single and double compartments also feature coat hooks, which prevent your jackets from getting creased.
MARCH βοΈ
A month of travel!
At the beginning of March, our Managing and Commercial Directors flew to Germany to attend the LogiMAT International Trade Show.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with key global partners across the material handling industry, strengthening relationships that play a vital role in our supply chain. Alongside this, they explored new ideas and innovations, gaining insight into potential opportunities to expand our product range.
Furthermore, our Directors also took a stay-cation as they travelled up to Scotland! Our Managing Director, Greg, and Sales Director, Kieron, hit the road and touched base in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Fort William.
Their trip included visits to catch up with some of our customers based up there. To enhance customer relationships, they visited various industries based in the Steelworks and Oil & Gas sector, discussing potential projects upcoming in the year. Additionally, they conducted various on-site visits to ensure the correct items are ordered to meet their needs.
With such beautiful views, it would be rude not to take a cheeky selfie!
New Recycling Legislation
March 31st was also the day when the UK released a new recycling legislation. In order to follow these new rules, businesses with over 10 employees must separate their recycling, including food waste and plastics. This is to improve recycling habits, as it is proven that people are less likely to recycle at work than they are at home.
Read our blog to explore the effects of this legislation and where these rules have impacted.
APRIL π¨
The release of our Toolsafe Security Boxes was a proud moment in April. Becoming a staple product within our product range, they promise spacious room to store a wide selection of heavy duty equipment in a lockable and safe environment.
Available in 6 different sizes ranging from W850 x H400 to W1200 x H1200, they are adaptable to an array of working environments. With this in mind, each security box comes with the option of being a stand-alone box, or having castors or fork pockets. This makes them more portable for labour-intensive workplaces, where heavy-duty tools are required on the go.
MAY πΆ
In May, we proudly took part in ACISβs campaign to donate Β£5 to the charity Mind for every dog photo shared on LinkedIn.
As a result, we couldnβt resist but getting involved in such a heart-warming cause, and loved the chance to show off our precious pooches. With entries from both our Marketing and Sales teams, our four-legged line-up was not only adorable, but helped support an incredible charity too!
JUNE π¦
Self-Storage Week
For Self-Storage Week, we challenged our team to build our TUFF 400 Boltless Shelving.
Designed for quick, bolt-free assembly, itβs ideal for creating instant storage in garages or workplace environments. As a result, our team had it fully assembled in just 6 minutes!
Think you could beat that? Rewatch our teams attempt and get inspired!
National Industrial Workers of the World Day
To commemorate National Industrial Workers of the World Day, we wrote a blog to help navigate how to make working a lot easier. This includes recommendations to implement scissor lift tables to prevent back pain from lifting heavy stock, and modular barriers to distinguish pedestrian walkways from forklift zones.
Have a read over the informative blog today to get some ideas!
JULY π»
In July we launched our brand new Direct2U website! By doing this, all of our former websites have merged into one place. With this in mind, this allows you to shop our entire range of 12,000 items in one spot!
This change was in the works for months to provide our customers with an improved shopping experience. All our products are now available in one central location, helping you to discover our full product range even more easily.
AUGUST π
In August, we went crazy promoting our range of lockers, ready to assist schools with the new term coming up. This included our brand new range of Probe Retro Power Lockers! Available in 4 gorgeous colours, these lockers are not only stylish, but practical as they allow for a range of devices to be charged inside. With USB or 3-pin charging to choose from, they are adaptable for use in schools and offices.
SEPTEMBER πͺ
A London-based locker project π
In September, we installed a whopping 315 Armour Steel Z-Shaped Lockers in a brand new school based in London. Their requirements were that they wanted a range of chic-looking lockers with speedy installation.
With this in mind, we sent our Sales Director, Kieron, along to oversee the installation process. The projects included 42 flat-topped lockers embedded into pre-determined gaps, and 273 sloping-top lockers in hallways for students to store their belongings.
Fancy hearing more about it? Read our blog to discover the whole process!
COBA Matting
September was also the month we introduced our range of COBA matting onto our website. With a focus on providing heavy-duty matting, they offer matting for every part of the workplace. Their entrance matting prevents outdoor elements from being tracked into the workplace, including rainwater and dirt. Meanwhile, their ESD mats prevent electrical shocks from being passed onto those working on components, which may cause static shock. Most importantly, much of this matting provides varying levels of anti-slip and anti-fatigue support. As a result, they are truly versatile and welcomed warmly onto the Direct2U website.
OCTOBER π
Anco Shelving
In October, we became proud Anco Shelving Suppliers. Offering a wide range of heavy-duty shelving solutions, they are easy to install in many workplaces and garages. The modular design means the shelves can be adjusted to best suit your working environment. Additional bins included in some of the Anco range, including the EXPO 4 makes organising workplace clutter even simpler!
Halloween π»
Inside the office, we had an absolute blast dressing up for Halloween!
From Paddington Bear to a dinosaur straight out of Jurassic Park, it was amazing to swap our usual workwear for some frightfully fun fancy dress.
We think our Emmie from sales stole the show as The Lorax. A unanimous decision crowned her as the best-dressed!
NOVEMBER π
Walking for a good cause
In November, our Senior Sales Executive, Ell, walked 200 miles to raise awareness for the Mental Health Charity SHOUT! A charity close to her heart, she was determined to walk the distance equivalent of from the Lake District to the Houses of Parliament.
We are proud to announce that she absolutely smashed it and raised an amazing Β£285! Well done Ell π
Our Black Friday Bash!
We didn’t want to miss out on giving back on Black Friday. That is why many of our TUFF-branded products experienced a massive 50% off price slash! This included our TUFF Workbenches, Shelving and CoSHH Cabinets, as well as many other categories.
DECEMBER π
Giving back this Christmas
On December 10th, our team came to work proudly sporting our favourite Christmas jumpers! In support of Save the Children, we came together to raise vital funds, helping provide children with access to education, nutritious food, and essential medical care. It was a fun and festive way for us to make a real difference in young lives this holiday season. π§Ά
Extending your Christmas Wishlist
In December we started the month off by announcing our brand new Home, Garden and Leisure section of the website! Bought to you by Sealey, our website has expanded into the world of kitchen appliances, outdoor fishing chairs, and even hot tubs!
We also ended the year off by launching our brand new range of Safety Knives. Particularly perfect for opening all of your brand-new stock in the New Year, we think this collection will be perfect for everyone to use! In particular, our personal favourite is the unique Slice Auto Retract Box Cutter, with an ergonomic design to minimise the risk of cutting yourself with the blade. Furthermore, the range features an array of knives with replaceable blades, making them a more sustainable option within the workplace!
A BIG DIRECT2U THANK YOU! π
We are honoured to have had a successful and full year, and could not have completed it without your help! We have an exciting 2026 planned, and looking forward to taking you along for the ride!
Please note: We are closed between the 24th December to the 5th January. Any orders placed within this time will be returned once we come back to work on the 5th January.
