The MSA British Touring Car Championship kicks off this weekend at the historic Brands Hatch Indy circuit. The Kent race track has seen nail-biting action since the BTCC started racing there in 1958 and this year will see another season finale at the Brands Hatch GP.
As proud sponsors of Eurotech Racing again this year, we will be championing the team all the way.
The 2017 season started on the 16th March with a very successful Media Day. Eurotech Racing seized the opportunity to show off their new Honda Civic Type R’s. Their new signing Jack Goff also showed what we can expect from the duo in 2017. With a great day under their belt, Jeff Smith and Jack Goff are set to push hard this season. Their aim – to bring home the silverware. The team are feeling confident. But only this weekend will they be able to pitch themselves against the other 30 contenders.
Race day is just the tip of the iceberg. Many months are spent during the off-season fine tuning the cars to suit each driver and prepping them for the podium.
This is all made possible at Eurotech Racing’s new state-of-the-art headquarters in Tamworth.
Last year we helped kit out their new 8,000 square foot premises with our much sought after Euroslide drawer storage equipment. The uncanny resemblance in name goes much further than just a name. Both high performing brands are continually improving and at the forefront of innovation in their fields.
Euroslide is a fully customisable range designed by engineers for engineers. It’s the preferred choice of many car manufacturers, workshops and garages. The range can be designed around your storage needs. It is perfectly design for keeping large parts, tools and CNC tools safe whilst being easily accessible during the working day.
We worked with Eurotech Racing designing a unique layout to suit the demands of their environment. They chose a combination of drawer cabinets, cupboards and mobile drawer cabinets in a clean, all white finish. The addition of graphite grey mobile drawer cabinets is essential for productivity, ensuring parts and tools can be moved from workshop to workshop as and when required. The cabinets have been positioned in long runs to create plentiful workspace around the cars.
Expanding into the MINI challenge also meant planning workshops for their news Mini’s. This fit out included customised Euroslide workbenches complete with light blue drawer cabinets which, I think you’ll agree, complements the cars beautifully.
Behind the scenes is running smoothly with the help of Euroslide. The team have a fantastic platform to launch straight into this year’s season.
Good luck guys – we’ll definitely be watching!!
You can watch the BTCC Live on ITV4 this Sunday from 10:15am.
