Workbench Design
This workbench is designed and manufactured from square tube frames. The square tube provides greater strength and will support the workbench more than ordinary legs. As you can see each bench is fitted with two support beams that run across the bottom of the bench which prevent unwanted movement.

The basic bench as described above has been designed to accept a full range of accessories starting with the below the bench range. You can choose from a single drawer unit, triple drawer unit or cupboard which can be fitted in any position underneath the bench. Each drawer is fitted on glide runners which allow for easy movement, can easily clip in and out, and only offer two thirds access to the drawer when fully open to prevent full drawers from tipping.
Now we can add the finishing touches and the above the bench accessories. The range of general purpose workbenches can be customised to your individual needs, just choose from service ducts, louvred panels, upper shelves and fluorescent lights. When ordering make sure you also purchase rear support posts to fit the accessories to. A 760mm rear support post will accept the lower accessories but you will require an 1180mm rear support post for the upper shelf and fluorescent light.

So what is a UDL?
UDL or Uniformly Distributed Load is a load or weight applied to a structure which is evenly distributed across the area where it is maintained in this case our general purpose workbench. The workbench has a 250kg UDL which means is can withstand up to 250kg positioned/loaded onto the bench when evenly distributed. Sometime this is also referred to as a Safe Working Load (SWL).
