The new RNF Digital Innovation health and safety app has been met with great success, with many businesses downloading the free app in the first week since its launch. It has quickly become one of the top ten most downloaded business apps in the UK.
What does the SME Safety Wizard app do?
RNF Digital Innovation has developed the app to help small and medium sized business meet health and safety requirements. The information in the app has been directly taken from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Toolbox Guidance which addresses all the most common workplace hazards. The HSE Toolbox offers advice on how to put safety measures into place, control hazards and risks. The HSE’s ultimate aim is to help businesses comply with the law and to prevent accidents happening in the workplace.
Health and Safety Innovation
It is the first time that the Toolbox guidance on the HSE website has been developed into an app. The app will give businesses the opportunity to access and research essential health and safety data just by the touch of a button.
There is advice on working environments and the most common causes of accidents. There is information on electricity, gas, manual handling and hazardous substances as well as risk assessment tools.
The app asks questions about your organisation and your workers so that it can provide the best health and safety guidance tailored to your workplace and employees. You can then access more specific guidance, where the app outlines the laws and regulations and then what you have to do to implement this.
Where do I get the app?
The Safety Wizard app is currently only available for Apple iOS operating platforms and only available as a free download from the iTunes Store. We only hope that the app will be a success and then will soon become more widely available for Android and other operating platforms!
