Many of us don’t return our wheelie bins to their proper storage areas after they’ve been emptied and we just leave them to fend for themselves out on the street from time to time.
To some people this might seem like an insignificant issue but to others it can cause problems in their everyday life. Wheelie bins that have been left to their own devices tend to cause obstructions and are an open invitation for criminals and vandals to have a rummage in. They can find personal documents with every detail about your life on and details about your family, your vehicles and other general stuff you don’t want strangers to know.
Recent trends have shown that delinquents and vandals think its fun to set wheelie bins alight which as we all know is extremely dangerous especially around the time of year when fireworks are out in force. Although this kind of event sounds like an unusual occurrence, for many people around the UK this is a common problem. Many of us think that this wont happen to us, but it could. All it takes is for one small group to get lighter happy and before you know it your bins melting. Be especially aware if your bins are situated near trees, bushes and wooden fence panels as this could cause serious damage to your property.
The moral of this story is to be wise when putting your bins in and out. Keep them in a safe and secure place out of harms way. It might seem silly and insignificant now but you never know what might happen.
