Birmingham: the latest council to introduce the wheelie bin scheme! Over the next two years wheelie bins will be rolled out over Birmingham. Currently, a pilot scheme is taking place in the areas of Brandwood and Harbourn to see whether the wheelie bin will be a success. The council are providing two wheelie bins per household – one for rubbish disposal and one for recycling, to encourage waste separation and recycling in the city.
