Why should you cycle to work?

Save money! Getting to work can really burn a hole in your pocket, cycling can cost you next to nothing. You can save money and time in your commute to work.
Burn calories! How many calories you burn whilst riding is difficult to calculate as it all depends on: your height, your weight and the speed you’re travelling at. For a specific calculation you can use a cycle calorie calculator.
Lower your carbon footprint!  Cycling can also really help to reduce the harmful impacts of air pollution, especially in towns and cities and cycling is one of the easiest and cheapest way to reduce your impact on the environment.

How to ensure your work place is ready for your cycle to work?

There are many ways to store your bike to work these include:

  • Cycle Racks & Stands – Ideal for domestic, retail, industrial sites, shopping centres and public areas. They can be surface mounted or grouted underground and the bike wheel and or frame to be locked securely into place with your choice of lock. Desired space between loops can be specific to order on some products and loops are powder coated steel. Fully welded and assembled making fitting that much easier.
  • Cycle Shelters – Ideal for schools and colleges can be open or enclosed for extra security. Made from Perspex and Steel which can either be bolted to or grouted into the ground.
  • Cycle Compounds – Ideal for schools, colleges and workplaces; compounds have a tough robust structure and vandalism resistant features, some products include a mechanical push button coded lock. Leg frames can be bolted to the floor or grouted into the ground for added security. Most cycle compounds can be linked with other compounds, shelters or extension modules to increase the capacity of bikes held.
  • Cycle Security Cages – Ideal for schools, colleges and workplaces; each fully galvanised frame ensures high security from either double padlocks or 5 lever mortice deadlock. Each cage has an installation service available upon request.
