Wiggins to Attempt Cycling Challenge

Sir Bradley Wiggins is to attempt to win a first cycling time trial title at the Road World Championships today. Now 34, Wiggins came second in 2011 and 2013, beaten by the same German Tony Martin, who he beat to get Olympic gold in 2012. Cycle Tour of Britain Commences

Thousands of spectators gathered yesterday along the route of the cycle Tour of Britain which visits Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny to the Blorenge Mountain to witness riders such as Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish ride. London’s Cycle Superhighway Plans

Two new Cycle Superhighways were unveiled in London yesterday which includes an 18 mile continuous East to West cycle route nicknamed the “Crossrail for Bikes”. The new routes will run East – West from Tower Hill to Westbourne Terrace and then North – South from Kings Cross to Elephant and Castle. The new routes will be substantially segregated and road space will be reallocated to those on bikes including one whole lane of the Westway flyover.
