These acid and alkali storage cabinets come in 6 standard sizes: 4 widths, 3 heights and 2 depths. They are manufactured from heavy duty steel and are powder-coated white. Relevant CLP hazard stickers with the international pictogram for corrosive chemicals are supplied with each cabinet. Cabinets are fitted with secure 2-point locking and an in-built sump that collects leaks and drips. Please note that these cabinets are recommended for the safe storage of acid chemicals but are not acid-proof. Each cabinet is supplied with at least one adjustable galvanised shelf. This ensures you can segregate your chemicals with the most cost-effective cabinet we have.
What are corrosive and caustic substances?

How to safely store acids and alkalis in the workplace?
HSE guidance documents give recommendations to help comply with CoSHH regulations. Ensure that the storage cabinets remain closed when not in use. Ensure that only trained employees have access to the cabinets. Make sure adequate washing facilities and emergency drench showers are available. Make sure the storage area is well ventilated and keep spill kits in the storage room in case of spills and leaks.
Segregate solid and liquid substances; flammable and non-flammable liquids; acids and alkalis; and wastes. Make sure the storage cabinets are cool, dark, and dry. Sumps should be able to contain spills. Make sure labels face forward and store smaller containers at the top, and heavier containers at the bottom.
