Storing your Tools with Armorgard

Picture this: you are spending thousands on tools for your business and relying on good equipment for your day-to-day work. You leave the site/van for the day, having tucked your tools away, out of sight. The next morning, you come back to an empty tool box or to no tool box! You have been a victim of tool theft. Valuable tools and equipment are hard to replace, not to mention costly.

It doesn’t have to be a dark cloud hanging over you. Securing your tools while you’re away is good insurance for your business. What good comes from having the latest tools if your peace of mind is at stake? Make sure you invest in the right security solutions to protect your business from theft and opportunists!

We’ve been very outspoken when it comes to our love for Armorgard Site Storage products. Now we’re back to shine the spotlight on their range of Tool Vaults we supply. Built to be impenetrable, these vaults come in several levels of security to ensure your tools are secure, and exactly where you left them.

Site Boxes vs Van Boxes

Before navigating these products, make sure you know where you’ll be keeping your tool vault and what you’ll be storing in it. This will help you pick the right design in the right size with the right customisation! A quick guide to the two designs:

Site boxes and chests are meant to be storage solutions on site and are originally heavy. Filling them with tools makes them increasingly difficult to move. When required, it is possible to move the boxes around with a forklift. This makes for a secure, immovable temporary or permanent storage location. However, if you would like the flexible option of a mobile box or chest, castors can be fixed onto the fork skids.

On the other hand, van & truck boxes are meant to be permanently fixed into a vehicle. This is extremely helpful if your business requires you to move from place to place. Plumbers, handymen and landscapers can benefit from a secure vault inside their van or truck while they’re away. Unfortunately, these boxes do not come with fork skids, and castors cannot be attached.

Remember, tool storage doesn’t need to be expensive. These products are available in several sizes, configurations and prices! For example, if you’ve been working on site for some time but now require a wheeled vault for your tools, consider a box with fork skids!
