The HSE have stated in their recent guidance that the UK&#8217;s waste collection services account for the largest proportion of accidents in the waste and recycling industry. So this guidance a valuable document for those who work in the waste industry and want to improve their working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The new guidance has been produced by HSE along with the Waste Industry Safety and Health Forum (WISH). It has been written for household waste collections first and foremost, but can be applied to all waste and recycling collection services including commercial waste services for example.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who will benefit from the new guidance?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The measures detailed in the new guidance are angled towards those who control collection service contracts. However it is will also benefit managers and supervisors who design and operate the collection services.
