It’s No Falls Week! This week, we celebrate an important charity foundation. No Falls Week is celebrated from the 12th to the 16th of May.
What is No Falls Week?
The No Falls Foundation urge to spread awareness on the importance of safety when working at height.
In 2023/24, 50 people lost their lives due to a fall from height at work in Great Britain. This resulted in 36% of all workplace deaths being due to falling from height.
So, if you’re passionate about workplace safety and aspire to prevent accidents from happening, this is the blog for you!
Rules for working at height
There are rules in place to ensure working at height is made as safe as possible for everyone. These are:
- Testing of equipment – all equipment must be tested and assessed to ensure it is safe. Only after inspections have been completed can the equipment be used.
- Falling objects – falling objects can be a risk factor to falls, therefore they should be assessed beforehand.
- Risk assessments – when working at height, risk assessments must be completed to ensure proper planning and organisation.
- Training – all staff should be given adequate training before using any equipment on how to keep safe when working at height.
- Weather conditions – if working outside, weather should be assessed to ensure it is not a risk factor for working at height.

*Please Note: None of this campaign is endorsed by No Falls Week*
We have developed a wide range of access equipment with your safety in mind. Look out for certifications and regulated products as these have been safety tested to the max!
