Thousands of spectators gathered yesterday along the route of the cycle Tour of Britain which visits Usk, Monmouth and Abergavenny to the Blorenge Mountain to witness riders such as Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish ride. Wales hosted the third stage of the UK\u2019s biggest professional cycle race which featured world class riders climbing the Tumble. Starting from Govilon near Abergavenny and ending at the summit of Blorenge Mountain over looking the vale of the black mountains and Usk.<\/p>\n

The Tumble is famous in the cycling world for being one of toughest ascents in the UK with a big 6km climb over a steady gradient of 10%. The whole event attracted 1.5 million spectators the previous year and consists of a ride around the country in eight stages culminating in a time trial and circuit race through London.\"cycle-wiggins\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Stage three of the ride saw cyclists go through Abergavenny on the A40 where 100 people lined Frogmore Street to cheer the riders on. Many amateur riders from across the local county rode the same Tour of Britain route the starts took.
